A translation of Spirit is anything that is used, repurposed or translated by the Holy Spirit/Inner Teacher/Divine Helper for the sake of healing our minds and awakening to the truth of who we are. Spirit can use writings, music, relationships, animals, living in community, performances, classes, movies, our day jobs, workshops...literally anything, to serve our journey of awakening to our true Self — which is One, pure, innocent, eternal, and whole. A translation can be given or recognized at any moment by anyone, an open and humble willingness is all that is needed.

The definition

Translations of Spirit started with the intuitive writings I began to receive when my heart opened up to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I’d never written outside of a musical context, nonetheless about spiritual/God-related topics. But that suddenly changed the moment I stopped everything in my music career (read full story here). I felt no pressure to fulfill a thing - no schedule, no real worldly demands concerning time, and had zero expectations. In retrospect I see how my mind being empty and carefree allowed me to immerse myself in the present moment and be open to receive the guidance that followed. As I mentioned, the translations originally started as inspired journal prompts of many kinds like insights, reflections, short stories, poems and more …all revealing wisdom and understanding beyond my own learned mind. It became clearer to me as I wrote many of these spiritual insights a day, that I was being used and wasn’t coming up with it alone. The more I wrote the closer I felt to God, to Spirit, to Jesus..to my real Self. These involuntary deep insights began to be a part of my everyday life as a mother, wife, and artist. It became like a journal of mystical expressions and spiritual lessons and have truly been the most fulfilling, joyful and effortless creative work I’ve ever done. I also realized something very cool later on- since my personality was very identified with performance and presenting myself to others (generally in a musical or social media context), writing at home away from the world only for me, for my own experience was extremely healing. I found power and truth in solitude as I experienced this divine connection with zero interest in proving it or sharing it the world.

Today, Translations of Spirit has expanded into a variety of forms. Since I opened myself up further, Spirit has started to gently introduce and retranslate some unexpected skills and gifts in my life for this newfound purpose — things like language classes, book writing, my personal relationships, small jobs and more, all the while gracefully reintroducing music back into my life. So this site is the space where I share my journey and all of the various translations with you. Sharing is giving and giving is receiving, so here I am —sharing.. all cards on deck, for Spirit…for You, for Me, for Us!
